Home Information Pack HIP's & EPC's

All properties marketed for sale from 14th December 2007 in England and Wales have required a Home Information Pack (HIP), which includes a home energy rating. There are some exceptions to this; if you're in any doubt, give us a call.

The HIP brings together key information needed by buyers and sellers at the very start of the home - buying and selling process, and ensures that important information about improving the energy efficiency of the home is made available every time a property is sold.

It is estimated that if just 20% of homeowners made the basic changes set out in their Energy Performance Certificate they could cut carbon emissions by the equivalent of taking 100,000 cars off the roads - not to mention make combined savings of around £100 million a year on their energy bills.
